Applications are now invited for traineeships with Drummond Miller LLP, commencing in July 2016. (Our application process for 2015 traineeships is already closed).
Whilst academic achievement is important, it is far from the be all and end all in the making of a good lawyer. We are also interested in your personal skills. Communication and organisation skills, team-work, attention to detail and adaptability are just as important.
During your traineeship, you will be accorded plenty of responsibility, whilst benefitting from the significant experience of and supervision by our highly-skilled solicitors. You will have direct client contact and will routinely be communicating with professionals and lay-people alike. You may also have the opportunity to appear in court, depending on your seat.
Trainees may spend time within our Court of Session/Medical Negligence, Immigration and Sheriff Court/Family Law teams. There may also be opportunities for those interested in Conveyancing and Private Client work.
Your traineeship will likely commence in our Head Office in Edinburgh but you may be required to work in any of our branch offices at any time.
Our trainees are an integral part of our firm and assist us in providing the best possible service to all of our clients.
The closing date for applications for a traineeship in 2016 is 3 April 2015. Applications received after that date will not be considered.
To apply, please email your CV and a covering letter to our trainee recruitment Partner, Miranda Becher.
