
Kirsty is a solicitor in our immigration team in Edinburgh.
Kirsty primarily takes on family cases under both the Immigration Rules and the EU Settlement Scheme, as well as citizenship applications for adults and child registration applications. The department also has a working relationship with many Women’s Aid organizations across Scotland and Kirsty often accepts instructions for Indefinite Leave to Remain applications on the basis of domestic abuse.
Kirsty also assists with cases appealing to the Immigration Tribunal and the Court of Session. She is also familiar with acting as a court agent and understands the procedural aspects of Judicial Review and Leave to Appeal matters raised in the Court of Session.
Kirsty has a clear understanding of migration and the importance of family ties. She is passionate about this area of the law and the embedded human rights matters. She works hard to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
Previously, Kirsty was a member of the medical negligence team in Edinburgh where she assisted with a range of complex clinical negligence and personal injury matters in both the Court of Session and All Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court.
Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys running and travelling.
