Throughout his career, Susith has represented a varied range of clients that include individuals, insurers, companies and public authorities. Through this experience, he has developed versatility in pursuing and defending cases in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland and in the Court of Session. He has well over a decade of experience in law.
Susith graduated with his LLB Honours degree in 2006. Susith completed his traineeship with one of Scotland’s leading Defence litigation firms and continued to add to his specialisation in Personal Injury work by working with two more leading litigation practices, accumulating a broad spectrum of experience in Road Traffic Accidents, Public Liability and Employers Liability claims. Susith thereafter joined Peacock Johnston Solicitors in 2014, and gained over 8 years of specialist experience in Medical/Clinical Negligence Law.
He has investigated and pursued a variety of Clinical Negligence cases; including cases of surgical negligence, anaesthetist negligence, physician negligence, cases involving birth defects, optical cases, GP negligence, cases involving suicides and prescription errors. Susith has pursued and negotiated settlement in a number of complex and high value medical negligence cases. In addition to his Clinical Negligence work, Susith has pursued and settled a number of catastrophic/high value personal injury claims. He has also represented clients in Fatal Accident Inquiries.
Susith has also given University lectures and taught tutorial classes. He has a pragmatic, tenacious and diligent approach towards his work along with a friendly and approachable manner towards his clients.
Outside of law, Susith likes to play football, badminton and squash. He is a literature, music, drama and cinema enthusiast, and regularly attends plays, pub quizzes and music concerts.
