He became a Partner in June 2016. He is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Immigration Law.
Humphrey has a breadth of experience in Immigration litigation covering human rights law, EC law and deportation cases; deprivation of citizenship; Tier 1 and other PBS cases and very complex immigration cases. Humphrey is highly experienced in handling appeals at the First-Tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal, and raising complex cases at the Court of Session; spanning over ten years in the field of immigration. He has been successfully involved in a number of complex immigration cases that have continued to shape the immigration landscape. Humphrey takes a particular interest in fairness in decision making.
He is dual-qualified in Scotland and England as well as being qualified to practice in Nigeria. Humphrey is also a member of ILPA.
Humphrey is regularly involved in providing in-house training on immigration law and practice and occasionally speaks at external events organized by outside organizations. In the last year alone he spoke at a number of these events in Aberdeen, Falkirk, Glasgow and Broxburn. He variously shares his legal insight in articles and blogs usually published on Drummond Miller's website.
