Iona joined the firm in July 2024 as a Trainee Solicitor and is currently part of the Immigration department in Glasgow.
Prior to joining Drummond Miller Iona graduated from the University of Glasgow with a first class LLB in Scots Law with Italian Language and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. Highlights during this time include spending a year abroad studying at the University of Pavia in Italy and litigating a human rights case before the UK Supreme Court and the European court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
Developing an international outlook has always been important to Iona, which serves her well working in the Immigration department. To date she has gained experience preparing a variety of visa applications to the Home Office on behalf of clients as well as working on appeals to the First Tier Tribunal against Home Office decisions.
