Carrie Burrows is a Senior Associate in our Medical Negligence department in Edinburgh. She is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a Specialist in Medical Negligence Law.
Carrie joined Drummond Miller in 2018 and has practiced almost exclusively in this area of law since then.
She deals with a wide range of complex and high value claims in the Court of Session and has notable experience in the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court. Carrie has a varied caseload including acquired brain injuries (both paediatric and adult), shoulder dystocia birth damage and fatal claims. She has had success both running her own cases in Court and also working with Counsel for higher value matters.
Working exclusively on behalf of Pursuers, Carrie is committed to achieving the best results for her clients through what is often the most difficult time of their life. She is sensitive to both the client’s needs and also to delivering practical advice to ensure that settlements can be secured in the most difficult of circumstances.
Carrie has been ranked as an Associate to watch by Chambers UK which has highlighted “Carrie always gets the key issues in a case, and so she obtains very good results for clients.” She has also been ranked as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500.
Away from the office, Carrie enjoys cycling, climbing and skiing.
