Ryan has over 11 years’ experience advising clients on private client and conveyancing matters. Before joining Drummond Miller, he spent five years with Jones Whyte in Glasgow, where he progressed from Solicitor to Senior Associate and led Executry team. Ryan’s team dealt with both testate and intestate estates, taxable and non-taxable, from all over Scotland. Ryan also advised on the creation of Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts during this time period.
Ryan has extensive expertise in Scottish succession law and provides clear, practical guidance to individuals and families navigating the legal process after the loss of a loved one. He also has significant experience in residential conveyancing and can assist with the sale or transfer of property as part of the administration of an estate.
As a fully qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (STEP), Ryan holds a globally recognised qualification that reflects his specialist knowledge in trusts and estates. He is known for supporting clients through what can often be a difficult and emotional time with compassion, professionalism and a straightforward approach.
Ryan studied at the University of Strathclyde, where he completed a BA (Hons) in Politics and Law, an accelerated LLB in Law, and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his partner, family, and friends.
