
The government have now announced the dates on which the various changes in their five point plan will be implemented.
On 11th March 2024 care workers and senior care workers will no longer be able to bring dependents to the UK. Care providers in England will only be permitted to sponsor migrant workers where they are regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
On 4th April 2024 the Skilled Worker general salary threshold increases to £38,700. The 20% going rate discount for those on Shortage Occupation List will be removed. The new Immigration Salary List will temporarily include occupations recommended by the Migration Advisory Committee.
On 11th April 2024 the minimum income requirement for family applications increases to £29,000 gross per year.
