This festive season, Drummond Miller was honoured to support St Columba’s Hospice Care, a local charity providing expert palliative and end-of-life care for people and families across Edinburgh and the Lothians. As part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve, members of our team volunteered their time to help decorate the hospice ahead of the festive season.
Creating a warm and welcoming environment is at the heart of the hospice’s work. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to support a place that brings comfort, dignity, and compassion to those navigating some of life’s most difficult moments.
About St Columba’s Hospice Care
St Columba’s Hospice Care is dedicated to helping people live well and die well, wherever they are - at home, in care homes, or at the hospice. Their holistic approach combines clinical excellence with emotional and practical support for patients, families, and carers.
Whether providing personalised care plans, bereavement support, or simply a space of calm, the hospice works tirelessly to ensure everyone they support feels heard, respected, and cared for.
Our Contribution to St Columba’s Hospice Care
We’re humbled to have hosted various fundraising events for the Hospice in 2025.
In September, our teams took part in a fundraising challenge that saw colleagues walk, cycle or jog between our office locations - covering distances of up to 68 miles. Routes were selected based on difficulty, with highlights including a 20-mile walk from Bathgate to Edinburgh and a 68-mile cycle from Dalkeith to Bearsden.
This event brought together team members from across the firm, all united in their support for a cause close to our hearts. We’re proud to share that the challenge raised a total of £4,445 in aid of St Columba’s Hospice Care.
By helping to decorate the hospice for Christmas this festive season, our team also hoped to play a small part in making the space feel peaceful and comforting for patients, visitors, and staff. The festive season can be a particularly emotional time, and we recognise the importance of creating moments of light and warmth wherever possible.
We extend our sincere thanks to the team at St Columba’s for welcoming us and for the invaluable work they do every day.
