The firm was pleased to lend support to the Mason Institute at the University of Edinburgh recently by sponsoring its “Great Medico-Legal Debate” and supplying “judges” for the event itself.
The Mason Institute investigates the interface between medicine, life sciences and law in relation to medical and bioethical developments and its “Great Medico-Legal Debate” brings together a variety of students from differing disciplines to debate some very topical issues.
Liesa Spiller, Darren Deery and Lindsay Macdonald of our Clinical Negligence practice had the pleasure of judging earlier rounds of debates with the final decision being reserved for the Lord President, Lord Carloway.
This support represents the continuation of a flourishing relationship with the University where members of the firm already tutor on a number of academic courses. We look forward to working with the University more in the future.
