Carrie Burrows and Lindsay Macdonald have joined Drummond Miller’s growing list of accredited specialists in medical negligence law. Carrie and Lindsay have specialised in clinical negligence since joining Drummond Miller in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
Carrie’s caseload is varied and includes (but is not limited to) claims arising from acquired brain injuries and shoulder dystocia birth damage. In the past few years she has been involved in some of the highest value settlements in Scotland for birth damage cases settled by Periodical Payment Orders.
Lindsay’s caseload is similarly varied, including cases involving birth damage, surgical errors and missed diagnoses. A large proportion of her caseload is multi-pursuer fatal claims, and she has particular expertise in highly complex cases concerning delayed diagnosis of cancers.
The firm said: “Accreditation is described by the Law Society as 'a hallmark of excellence that peers and clients can trust.' Carrie and Lindsay have been an integral part of the team for a number of years and their accreditations are extremely well-deserved. The accreditations are testament to their commitment and ability in a very complex area of the law, and highlight the firm’s position as one of the largest and most specialist medical negligence departments in Scotland.”
