Prior to joining Drummond Miller, Richard was a Partner at Dallas McMillan Solicitors, where he led the firm’s residential conveyancing department. He joined the firm in 2021 as a Senior Associate and was promoted to Partner in January 2023.
Alongside his conveyancing practice, Richard has a previous background in private client work. He advised clients on wills, powers of attorney, executry administration, trusts, and estate planning, which now helps with seamless transfer for clients between other practice areas of the firm.
Richard is known for his approachable, client-first manner and his ability to guide clients through complex matters with clarity and care. He maintains strong professional connections with mortgage brokers, estate agents, and local business networks and is an active committee member of the Glasgow Conveyancers Forum. Richard is also certified by the Law Society of Scotland in Anti-Money Laundering.
Outside of work Richard enjoys spending time with his young family and has recently taken up running to keep fit. Richard is passionate about cricket having played since childhood and is now his club’s chairman and involved with Scotland Seniors Cricket in the over 40 age group.
