There is currently a shortage of properties for sale in and around Edinburgh. The new SDLT bands announced in the Autumn Statement will create even more demand from buyers as they try to beat the change to LBTT in April next year.  

The new SDLT bands will apply for all purchases completed before 1st April 2015. LBTT is likely to apply to completions after that date.
